Psychiatrist & Co-founder.
Dr. Gilbert Masterson is a board-certified psychiatrist with over 44 years of experience in mental health and psychiatric care. For the past 15 years, he has been deeply involved in ketamine research, contributing to some of the original clinical studies at Cleveland Clinic exploring ketamine’s effectiveness in treating chronic depression and suicidal ideation. His pioneering work has helped shape modern ketamine therapy as a transformative treatment for individuals struggling with treatment-resistant mood disorders.
Dr. Masterson completed his research residency at Harvard University and went on to be a research Fellow at UCLA. He has dedicated his career to providing compassionate, evidence-based care. His expertise spans mood disorders, suicidality, and innovative treatment modalities, making him a leader in advancing psychiatric care.
At Lifeline Interventional Therapeutics, Dr. Masterson is part of the only ketamine clinic in Michigan with a physician on-site and on staff who personally evaluates and follows patients throughout their treatment journey. Unlike other providers, our approach ensures that every patient receives direct, physician-led care, maximizing safety, effectiveness, and long-term outcomes.
At Lifeline Interventional Therapeutics, he combines his research-backed expertise and clinical leadership to offer ketamine and Spravato® therapy, helping patients regain hope and healing when other treatments have failed.
Addiction Medicine Physician & Co-founder
Dr. Julie Wilson is a board-certified physician specializing in addiction medicine, with a strong background in emergency medicine. She earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2002 and spent much of her career in emergency medicine before transitioning to addiction and mental health treatment.
Dr. Wilson was first introduced to ketamine therapy while working at an inpatient substance abuse treatment center, where she witnessed firsthand its remarkable effectiveness in treating both depression and addiction. Seeing the rapid, life-changing improvements in patients who had struggled for years with conventional treatments, she became passionate about incorporating ketamine therapy as a key part of comprehensive mental health and addiction recovery. Since then, she has dedicated her career to utilizing innovative, research-backed treatments to help patients break free from the cycle of substance use, depression, and anxiety.
At Lifeline Interventional Therapeutics, Dr. Wilson combines her expertise in addiction medicine, emergency medicine, and ketamine therapy to offer a holistic, patient-centered approach to healing. She works closely with each patient to develop individualized treatment plans, ensuring they receive the highest standard of care.
